It was announced yesterday that American fashion designer Nanette Lepore will create a line exclusively for jcpenney. The teen-focused line, “l’amour nanette lepore”, will be merchandised in a “store within a store” environment, which is becoming increasingly popular with large retailers looking to add a luxury feel to their stores. While the line, inspired by Lepore’s own teenage daughter, will be aimed for girls aged 13-20, don’t think that won’t stop me from getting in line. I love the girly and feminine look of Nanette Lepore, which still manages to look sophisticated. I’m hoping to see this aesthetic translated to the jcpenney collection.
